Rod and Cone showcases Rod Maclachlan’s dynamic design work for music, theatre, and the arts. A versatile video and production designer, Rod’s background in sculpture and experimental film leads him to blend real-world effects like prisms and cymatics with analogue and digital techniques to create unforgettable experiences.
Rod has worked with musicians such as Paolo Nutini, Murcof and Hauschka, produced visual content for Simple Minds and Noel Gallagher shows and institutions such as The Bristol Old Vic and Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Eclectic tastes and curiosity has led to him working for a wide range of productions from super 8mm loops at free parties in the 90s to sci-fi in studio theatres and original headline festival shows.
For larger projects, Rod & Cone brings together a skilled and trusted team: vision mixer, lighting designer, camera operators and technicians.
